IronPython is out and easy to get going. 

Here is a very succinct and as complete a summary of data mining packages for Python.  None of the above packages look nearly as complete as many of the packages available to Java and C developers.

A very helpful FAQ resides here.  The issue at the top of my radar is whether or not NumPy and SciPy work under IronPython.  The short and sweet is that it is a work in progress.  See details on the FAQ.
